When you visit and navigate our site or contact us through our website, Acon does not collect personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide us with your information. You will always have the option of not providing such information, and this will not limit your access to much of Acon websites should you chose not to provide this information. You may, however, be unable to access certain options and/or services. Any personal information provided to us by you will be used solely for the purpose that has been stated on the page to which you have submitted the information. Acon shall not transfer, sell to third-parties or disclose your personal information outside of Acon and its affiliates unless (a) given express prior consent by you, (b) required by Acon contractors, consultants or agents to perform certain services and functions in a limited capacity, or (c) required by law or regulation. Acon will always handle information provided to us with reasonable care consistent with the applicable laws and regulations and will use reasonable means to protect and safeguard such information.

 

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, please do not provide us with personal data through the Acon websites. 

 

Use of Data:

 

When visiting Acon’s site, certain non-personally identifiable information is collected for statistical purposes, such as unique page views, number of visitors and the number of times a page is visited. Statistical data is gathered for Acon to monitor website-use and to analyze the data in order to determine ways to improve website usability, accessibility and performance. We may remove information when it becomes out of date or inaccurate or when properly requested by you (subject to any legal duty or requirement we may have to preserve it).

 

For our customers in Switzerland and the European Union, please note that Acon operates also through its direct and indirect subsidiaries in countries outside of Switzerland and the European Union (including the US). Acon has installed security measures in place to help prevent unauthorized access to and misuse of the personally identifiable information provided to us. We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to safeguard the information you provide to us and protect it from unauthorized access, loss, destruction or alteration. For example, web page elements transmitting personal or financial information are encrypted from your client to our servers (which are located in the United States) using the standard known as SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). Beyond the SSL encryption your data is protected once it reaches our network through the use of secure network firewalls. No system can be 100% secure however. For this reason, Acon does not guarantee, and you should not expect, that information you provide shall remain private under all circumstances.
